The European Film Commission Network app provides an up-to-the-minute guide to the services and contacts within the EUFCN.
The app will assist in finding the best crew, location and infrastructure for your project through a professional Film Commission from the EUFCN network and get individual consulting and detailed information about its region.
To access to the App visit the Apple Store and get it for FREE.
Following its Cannes launch, the European Film Commissions Network (EUFCN) app, created by OpenBrolly, has been launched on the Apple App store for iPhone.
It’s a simple app, but behind the scenes is the logistical challenge of collecting up-to-date information from nearly a hundred organisations in over 25 countries. This information is available offline, providing an useful resource when travelling. Information includes contact information and description of film commission services.
The information behind the system continues to grow, managed by each participating organisation. Future versions of the app will build on the initial functionality – the next version will include mapping.
OpenBrolly’s Mobile Technology Director, David Sim, said: “The app itself is relatively simple, although we have ensured robust offline capability is built in right from the start. The bigger challenge was one that we have been successful in addressing: allowing a large number of organisations to update their own information and upload images without the need for training.”Once this initial rollout is complete the app will be available for Android and a new release for both platforms will appear soon after.
