Bergen has been selected to host the 2016 ACE Producers Reunion, and welcomes over 75 producers from 26 countries. The event will be held at various venues in Bergen between the 7th and 10th of April 2016.

Over the course of the four-day workshop and reunion, ACE offers a programme of co-production case studies, presentations of Norwegian film funding, locations, infrastructure and finance, and ample networking opportunities for the international delegates and the domestic film industry.

ACE, Ateliers du Cinema Europeen, is a network of over 200 experienced producers from 40 countries. The prolific members of the ACE network produce some of the most acclaimed and successful independent films of the year, with ACE producers behind no less than 4 out of 9 films shortlisted for the 2016 Oscar's Foreign Language nominations ('Son of Saul' - Hungary, 'Labyrinth of Lies' - Germany, 'Embrace of the Serpent' - Colombia, 'The Brand New Testament' - Belgium).

The host city of Bergen (population 280.000) is a UNESCO World Heritage City,  a European Capital of Culture, and, recently, a designated UNESCO City of Gastronomy. Bergen has a rich Hanseatic and maritime heritage, and a thriving contemporary arts scene. Bergen's geographical position at the entrance to the fjords means the city is often referred to as the Gateway to the Fjords of Norway, and a gateway to Norway's most sought-after film locations.

ACE Producers Reunion in Bergen is hosted by Western Norway Film Commission and Vestnorsk filmsenter, with support from Norwegian Film Institute, the City of Bergen and Hordaland County, and with support from the new regional film funds Fuzz / Filmkraft, Filminvest3 and Filmfond Nord, and the regional infrastructure facility FilmCamp.
Familiarization tour

The Reunion concludes with a film location Familiarization Tour for select delegates, with assistance from Destination Ålesund & Sunnmøre, Destination Nordmøre & Romsdal, the county of Møre og Romsdal and Nord Filmservice AS.
